2025 – Rebranding for Community Integration:- A transformation to reflect our growth, expanded services, and vision for greater impact.
In early 2025, the project underwent a strategic transformation, rebranding as the sustainable Community Hub to reflect a broader mission beyond peanut farming and processing. This new identity embraces integrated services, including agribusiness support, nutrition outreach, and youth development. The year also saw a significant boost in human capacity, with the team receiving training from development partners in entrepreneurship, business management, and sustainable farming practices. These skills have enhanced local ownership, empowering volunteers and farmers to lead confidently and innovatively in driving community-led development.

2023 & 2024 – Visibility and Networking:- Participated in agricultural trade shows, exhibitions, and community events, showcasing our peanut products and connecting with farmers, industry leaders, and potential partners.

Over those past two years, the project participated in various agricultural trade shows and exhibitions both locally and nationally. These events helped raise awareness of the project’s mission, build important networks with development partners, and expose community members to innovations in agriculture, value addition, and small-scale food processing.
2022 – Quality and Compliance, including product testing, labeling accuracy, and adherence to hygiene standards during processing.
In 2022, the project achieved a major milestone by obtaining KEBS (Kenya Bureau of Standards) certification for its peanut butter products. This accomplishment significantly enhanced market credibility and ensured compliance with food safety standards. More than just a nutritious product, the peanut butter became a symbol of economic empowerment for women and youth in the community, showcasing how locally sourced resources can drive sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, the peanut butter and related snacks were used as educational tools during training sessions and generated income to sustain the project’s ongoing activities.

2021 – Established Our Base:- Renovated our first workspace to create an efficient area for meetings, storage, and small-scale processing.

2021 marked the official launch of the Community Peanut Project. A significant milestone was the renovation of an old building to serve as the project’s operational headquarters. The team also completed initial registration with the State Department for Social Development, establishing the foundation for legal recognition. To support smallholder farmers, the project distributed the first batch of free peanut seeds, empowering community members to start planting and experimenting with peanut farming practices at the grassroots level.
