The strength of our community project lies in the people who believe in its mission, right from its earliest days to its current momentum. Our team is a diverse and passionate network of past and present volunteers, all committed to driving community transformation through promotion of economic farming, value addition, and local entrepreneurship. The team members have dedicated their time, skills, and energy to advancing the mission of the project – not as employees, but as passionate contributors offering their services on a pro-bono basis.
Our current volunteers are the lifeblood of our ongoing work. They continue to push the project forward whereby they coordinate training, support local entrepreneurship, mentor new farmers, and engage community members both in person and online. They show exceptional commitment despite minimal financial support, often driven by purpose, not profit. Despite limited resources, their passion, resilience, and commitment keep the project active and growing. The small stipend offered helps ensure their basic participation needs are met, but their motivation goes far beyond financial compensation.

All roles in the project are non-salaried, with basic stipend support provided to help cover essential needs and transportation. This approach fosters a spirit of ownership, shared responsibility, and community-driven development.
Our past volunteers were the pioneers who helped shape the project’s vision into action. From initiating early training sessions and organizing community mobilizations, to designing peanut-based programs and establishing local networks, these changemakers laid the foundation for everything we do today. Many of them transitioned out after completing specific assignments, pursuing education, relocating to other regions, or moving on to new opportunities.
Though past volunteers are no longer involved in day-to-day activities, their contributions continue to inspire our growth and guide our values. However, we also acknowledge that not every transition has been positive. In some instances, volunteers have exited due to misalignment with the project values, including issues such as lack of integrity, dishonesty, misconduct, or failure to uphold community trust. While such cases are rare, we remain committed to transparency and accountability in all our relationships. Upholding integrity is essential to protecting the communities we serve and maintaining the credibility of the project.
